I love that asking people to get involved or start a Green City Task Force type organization is on your list. Research and common sense demonstrate that we can be most effective on a local level when it comes to politics. In fact, it is cities and states – not the federal government – leading the way when it comes to battling climate change. Because so few people get involved in local politics, it is easy to have a big impact. Bonus? You get to meet people locally who care about the same thing you do!

good list. And how about wash clothes in cold water (am surprised how many people still use hot water)and flaunt n’hood restrictions by hanging out clothes in garden to dry?

I love to think that I am bringing down the “tone” of my area by airing my “clean” washing, with windows open am probably airing “dirty” washing too.
