		<description>Thanks for the great savings tips and also the news that MOMs will accept consumer waste for composting! Woo hoo! FYI, you *can* compost plates/cups (bagasse ones at least) in a backyard pile but you&#039;re right, the cutlery won&#039;t break down. Just learned this myself when I checked out my finished compost that reduced (most of) my Memorial Day bbq waste. Also, isn&#039;t it true that biodegradable trash bags don&#039;t break down in landfills? I thought pretty much nothing broke down in them (but I&#039;m only halfway through Royte&#039;s GarbageLand). Have a great weekend and thanks for the amazing local tips.
