Shopping tips to share? Sure :) For healthier sugar options, the fruit tip you gave is awesome. Some people have great success with using dried fruits as sugar replacements. You can add them into the dish itself or use as a topping. We can, also, make our own dried fruit roll ups with a dehydrator and some left over fruits like strawberries etc… (Plenty of recipes online for this- just search raw vegan fruit roll ups). You can save money this way, plus you’ll get additional organic savings by using slightly over ripe fruits to make the fruit roll ups…Eat over ripe fruits this way or compost in an herb garden or other type of garden, either way you’ll get your money’s worth.
Thanks for the info :)

A bit off-topic and coming in late on this, but Target is my second home. I swear that store pumps some enticing scent into the air that makes shoppers woozy with glee. I can't be unhappy in that store.

Ah yes, organic milk by the gallon is cheaper for sure. But some people only need half gallons - and I've yet to find anyone beat Target's prices! But your Indian store beats Whole Foods gallon price of $5.69 for organic!

Ummm...Indian food. Yum. Making me hungry. It's time for lunch. No Indian food in the house!

Thanks for your comment, Marguerite! -- Lynn

In my part of the world, the cheapest organic milk can be found at the local Indian store, Horizon brand, one gallon, for $5.49. Husband goes once a week. For me, it's a bit far - 12 miles - and out of my 5-10 miles perimeter.
