Some stories were clothe in adventure, Others sad, but all laid within his heart. At 20, in '41, he joined and learned to be a soldier. Five year latter, with gold bars and head held high Johnny came home, marching again. Today, 65 years later, I open the draw And reach for his red, white and blue. It will again be hung in honor. He fought to bring down evil.
