Lucky for me it happened the day after I left to come back to the West Coast. And remind me never to complain about how cold it is out here. Most everything that we have in it is from our weekly organic bin and gets eaten-up pretty quickly. My huge block of parmesan and eggs would survive a power outage. The thing that gives me sleepless nights is the thought of losing all the meat in my downstairs freezer. We get our lamb, chicken, pork and beef from various, local farmers and I would lose a fortune in time and money if that all thawed. Not to mention my existing guilt over our meat consumption to begin with. I think my fridge I would just leave alone. The high school in my brother's was torn completely down by a tornado.
